Baby Portraits of Sophie Cowan

I was absolutely delighted to be asked by Christine and Alan Cowan to photograph their new born daughter Sophie in Dunfermline last week. Sophie had reached the grand age of 19 weeks and kept us entertained for hours with her smiles and her energy.

I travelled to Dunfermline to take Sophie’s baby photographs in the comfort of Christine and Alan’s home with a simple lighting set up. I love photographing on location in this way as it allows mum and baby to relax in their own home. There’s no need to pack endless items to come to a studio or have to feel uncomfortable being out of your own organised home. At a time in your life when everything is up-side-down my style of photography just makes perfect sense.
