Chris MacKenzie Photography was commissioned to photograph one of the Olympic Torch Bearers as it traveled through St Andrews.
He also had the privilege of photographing Mark Beaumont, an adventurer from an early age. Mark was the initial Olympic Torch Bearer for the St Andrews leg of it’s journey.
Chris met Mark at an early morning briefing before setting off to The Quadrangle at The University of St Andrews where Mark met dignitaries who welcomed the Olympic Torch to the historic town.
“As a photographer the highlight of my day was photographing the above photographs of the Olympic Torch being lit whilst being overseen by Menzies Campbell. That and the experience of sharing Joe Forrester’s fantastic day made it all a real day to remember.”
