The 8th of January saw the grand opening of the Malaysian Hotel group Tune's first hotel in Scotland. The hotel is situated at Haymarket, Edinburgh an ideal location for rail and trams (when they commence service).

Dignitaries at the opening ceremony included Fergus Ewing who expertly cut the ribbon to declare the hotel open, Scottish Minister for Tourism, The Malaysian High Commissioner, Dato' Sri Zakaria Sulong and Tune Hotel CFO Mitul Lakhani.

The hotel is absolutely stunning with a simple stylish contemporary colour palette offering five star beds and showers at a one star price. Though the opening was held on the 8th of January the hotel was well and truly tested by revellers who visited Edinburgh's Hogmanay celebrations. The hotel was fully booked with all 179 rooms occupied.

Chris was delighted to have been chosen to photograph the international company's flagship hotel's interiors and public spaces and to provide coverage of the grand opening.

We were really delighted to recently have the opportunity to provide food photography and restaurant photography for the management team at Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant in Edinburgh.

The store is the leading international luxury fashion destination, a one-stop-shop to the world's most exclusive brands in fashion, beauty and food.

The restaurant, with a spectacular roof top view of Edinburgh Castle on one side and expansive views of Edinburgh's new town and the Firth of Forth on the other defines Forth Floor as one of Edinburgh's go to dining experiences.

Executive Chef Stuart Muir who achieved a Michelin star at the age of 22 and his expert team provided some of the finest food I have ever tasted.

Stuart's teams use of fresh seasonal Scottish produce to create contemporary Scottish food of the finest quality was inspirational and an awesome photographic experience.

Chris MacKenzie is delighted that his iconic landscape photographs are the main feature in seven refurbished luxurious and individually designed bedrooms and suites at 12 Twelve Picardy which is based in a stunning Georgian townhouse situated in Edinburgh's East End.

The refurbishment follows collaboration with the executive team at Twelve Picardy Place and Jordan McCaffery from HK Surveying and Design.

Chris also photographed the rooms in conjunction with Gemma Wilson from Edinburgh based PR company, Gemma Wilson PR. Gemma is managing PR for this prestigious project.

Chris is delighted to see his work spanning walls that in some cases are 7.1 metres wide. He recently had the opportunity to visit the recently completed master suites to plan for photography of the interiors.

The photographs depicting outstanding locations of Scotlands natural beauty look immense juxtaposed with Georgian fireplaces and contemporary furnishings.

We had a fabulous time with Susan and Angie, Skye and Bailey, the team behind the awesomeness that is Ochil Fudge. We pride ourselves on being customer driven with quality food photography taking second place. I just know that these ladies would agree with that from the bottom of their hearts.

We all had a fantastic time including Skye and Bailey who coped extremely well on their big day out at our Edinburgh based food photography studio. Our goal was to photograph Ochil Pantries finest produce with key ingredients from each blend beside it. We had tremendous fun being creative nearly forty times. At the end of the day we managed to photograph Skye and Bailey using the food photography lighting setup. The photographs were amazing and have had loads of credits.
